Travel Blogger of the Month: Tracey Williams

Blog of the month

Our Travel Blogger of the Month is Tracey from The Williams World. She has been writing her travel blog for the past 6 years, documenting her holidays with her husband and two teenage children. Follow her adventures on her blog, instagram, twitter, facebook, and pinterest

What inspired you to start blogging?

It was another blogger that inspired me to start blogging myself. I had been reading Sarah’s blog (Mum of Three World) for a few months back in 2013, and I was inspired to give blogging a go. I always knew that I wanted to write about travel and our adventures, and fast forward 6 years and I still love sharing our trips away.

What are your blogging and travel plans for the next 12 months?

We have one trip booked at the moment, which is a summer break to Copenhagen. After visiting Amsterdam twice this year, we plan to visit more European cities with our two teenagers. I would love to fit in another trip to Amsterdam, and we also plan to return to our      beloved Greece next October. The kids both have exciting school trips to Rome and Barcelona to look forward to as well.

My blogging plans are to keep on sharing our trips away, and who knows what opportunities may arise. I guess that’s the excitement with blogging, you just never know what’s around the next corner.

Where is your happy place? Your favourite destination in the world?

We’ve just come back from my happy place, Halkidiki in Greece. This was our fifth visit to the region, and it’s the place where I instantly relax. It was our first visit during October, and we were blessed with 25 degrees of sunshine every single day.

Which blogs do you love to read for inspiration?

I love reading other travel blogs and a few of my favourites are

Sam from North East Family Fun

Sarah from Extraordinary Chaos

Melis from Melis Living

Can you share the three most popular posts on your blog?

The three most popular blog posts are

Booking a Cabana at Center Parcs

A day out to Amsterdam

7 days in Mexico at The Grand Moon Palace

Can you share any tips for newer bloggers who would love to set up a travel blog?

Have a think about what aspect of travel your blog is going to cover, but keeping in mind that things can change over the years. My kids used to feature heavily on my blog, but now my eldest teenager prefers not to be included. Blogs do evolve and change over the years, and I have seen some very successful blogs cope with a change in direction. Writing a travel blog should be fun and exciting, and I always try to keep in mind the reason why I started my blog in the first place.

If you could go back in time to when you first set up your blog would you do anything differently?

Blog of the month

I honestly don’t think I would do anything differently. I did lots of research before I started my blog, and even though I didn’t have a clue what SEO meant, it was kind of nice to just write.

So You Know...

As you've likely heard and seen, there's an increasing focus on the authenticity of follower growth and engagement on social platforms across the Influencer Marketing community. The platforms themselves have taken measures to deter inauthentic activity and brands now more closely scrutinise the audiences of the influencers with whom they are partnering.

The Flea Network has implemented a system that will detect abnormal spikes in following and engagement, and flag these properties. Of course, such spikes can often be attributed to viral posts or high-profile brands that bring greater exposure to some content.

If one of your social accounts is flagged by our system without an obvious reason, we may reach out to you for assistance in understanding it. If we find any influencer has artificially inflated their audience size or engagement using paid acquisition or automated, third-party tools, we will remove them permanently from our influencer community.

Feel free to reach out to us at with any questions or comments.

Thank you!
